Time To Get Serious About the NDIS

Posted on: February 14th, 2018 by n3tB1z

It is well and truly time to get serious about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). If you haven’t started preparing for the NDIS, it’s not too late. You’re also not the only one. However, with the NDIS rolling out in the Gold Coast and Brisbane from 1 July 2018, time is of the essence.

The NDIS is the largest health reform that Australia has ever seen and to get the most out of it you will need to be prepared. Participants who are not prepared may not get as much support and funding. So, it’s best to start preparing now.

The NDIS has new processes and requires a new way of thinking. Participants will be required to set goals for funding support. The goals will need to:

  1. Be associated with day-to-day living

  2. Increase your social or economic participation

  3. Be linked to a resource or piece of equipment to help you live an ordinary life

  4. Help you build the skills you need to live the life you want

Physio 4 Kids is a registered NDIS provider. We can help with your NDIS planning by:

  1. Providing further information on the NDIS

  2. Providing an updated physiotherapy assessment

  3. Complete assessments which focus on functional capacity

  4. Help you understand what equipment will need to be considered in planning

  5. Provide you with a detailed assessment report to be shared with the NDIS
