No. You do not require a referral.
Patient's wanting to claim a Medicare rebate via:
- 10960 - Team Care Arrangements (GP Only)
- 10960 - Chronic Disease Management Plan (GP Only)
- 82035 - Medicare items for Better Start for Children with Disability initiative (Specialist or GP)
- 82035 - Medicare items for Helping Children with Autism Initiative (Specialist Only)
- 81335 - Allied Health Services for Indigenous Australians (medical practitioner)
If you have private health insurance, that includes cover for outpatient Physiotherapy, you should be able to claim a private health rebate.
Most people with private Physiotherapy cover will be able to claim their rebate onsite through our HICAPS terminal at Physio 4 Kids - Robina.
Rebates vary according to health funds and your level of cover. Please contact your health fund directly to determine your rebate. The onsite assessment code is #500 and onsite subsequent visit code is #505.

Physio 4 Kids has all necessary resources.
However, please bring:
- Referrals from General Practitioners and Specailists (if available)
- Reports (X-Rays, scans and assessment reports) and information from medical professionals and other allied health professionals (if available)
- NDIS plan (NDIS patients)
- Medicare card
- Private health insurance card
